GeForce 6800 and random freezes – Page 97 – nV News Forums. Some folks still have this problem. Turning Fast Writes seemed to help and getting rid of the nVidia IDE driver, but now people are saying that upgrading to the 80 series nVidia drivers really helps. I’m at 77.77, so here goes on to the next release.
