Well, the GPS on my iPhone 4 would never actually get position. Strangely it might have worked and not. The GPS Status app I downloaded reported bad fix. It actually works in certain fixed locations. Looking online, seems that people talk about turning 3G on and off and there are some reports of just out of the box bad. See the forum discussion
