Well I ended up getting a complete Hobonichi a6 Techo planner ($37 Amazon) and I’m glad I did.

I have a decent collection of fountain pens and no reason to use them. But going through our parents old stuff I realize how valuable artifacts like this are.

Pen Chalet is a great local source and I got the a6 for a going $31, then a blue cover with pockets and a pen holder and then a transparent plastic outer cover. And of course an AirTag in a wallet case too keep track of the thing

This seems kind like over kill but each piece is important. First off all the notebook itself is lay flat and tiny. Also the Tomoe paper really is a dream. Fountain pens take a while to dry. So you really want to do a page a day.

It also works well with my Trello habit which is set 3 yearly, 3 quarterly and 🤗 3 monthly goals. They have a sheet for each.

The outer cover keeps things from getting scuffed. And you can also insert photos and stickers into it.

I really like the cover though. It’s a nice blue and has card holders in the front inside and places for paper at the back. Having the two bookmarks is great as well for the monthly and the daily sides.

A6 is also small enough it is not a lot tohit a bit each day or every couple of days.

Anyway highly recommended. I also learned to slow my writing down and the 4mm grid helps my penmanship. Finally this is a system that benefits from a fine at least or extra fine.

I might end up get some other ink colors as this is a great sketch book
