Welt’s been two decades of loving Lord of the Rings and watching it on everything from the Cinerama to home theaters to phones. But, there is nothing quite like getting to New Zealand and seeing some of the locations for real. There are lots of list, but none of them super complete.
But some of the best ways to see it are to use the exact GPS coordinate from the Department of Conservation of New Zealand
Then there are other tourist sites that have some of the top locations or fan sites like Of Eleven Make.
But the definitive guide is a user created Google Maps site that has over 100 locations in it that is very good and it’s embedded here:
But the real data is in a KML file with the latitude and longitudes that I’ve included here and I also made a copy of the map as well.
