Now that I’ve got Nostalgia as my screensaver, next thing is to change the desktop wallpaper automatically too. Again, there are bunch of free utilities:
* “Microsoft Powertoys”:http://www.worldstart.com/tips/tips.php/312. Before the era of activation keys (I just had Office die and we had to call up because the nVidia driver rearranged the CD-ROMS on my machine. This one is OK, but all the pictures have to be flat in a single directory.
* “Microsoft Winter Toys 2003”:http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/wallpapertoy.mspx. I bet no one has ever heard of this. This is an update to the Powertoys thing. It doesn’t require activiation. In the section called Winter fun, it has an updated wallpaper changer that searchs all subdiretories. Perfect for me! and it’s free.
